Traditional General Practice in a Changing World

At Knightwick Surgery we are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.

Due to the adverse weather and risk of flooding, we have had to cancel some appointments today as some staff have been unable to get into work. We apologise for the inconvenience but obviously the safety of our staff is paramount.

The river levels are continuing to rise so we may need to review our appointments again tomorrow.

If you have an appointment booked for Friday 15th November 2019, we advise you ring on the day before setting off to ensure clinics are still running as normal.

We have taken measures at the practice to help avoid flood damage should the river come into the surgery and will keep posting updates if the situation worsens.

Dementia Friendly Community

Did you know that our area is a Dementia Friendly Community? A great group of people throughout the community are working hard to provide services and support for those living with dementia.

From Spring 2020, the law on organ donation in England is changing.

What is changing?

From spring 2020, organ donation in England will move to an 'opt out' system. You may also hear it referred to as 'Max and Keira's Law'.

This means that all adults in England will be considered to have agreed to be an organ donor when they die unless they have recorded a decision not to donate or are in one of the excluded groups.

You still have a choice if you want to be an organ donor or not when you die.
