It is important for the health of your child and others that you ensure vaccinations are up to date. A course of childhood immunisations help protect not only your child, but future generations and the wider community.
All childhood vaccinations should be booked with the practice nurse. You should receive a reminder about these vaccines from the central childhood immunisations centre. If you think a vaccine may be due but you have not received notification, please contact the surgery.
Knightwick Surgery will endeavour to chase patients who are overdue for vaccines.
PLEASE NOTE: We must gain the consent of the child’s legal parent or guardian in order to vaccinate them. If you are asking another carer (e.g. a grandparent) to bring your child to be vaccinated, please contact the surgery beforehand to let us know and if possible provide written consent to be bought to the appointment. If we do not have parental/guardian consent, we will be unable to vaccinate your child.
